This Wednesday, Zions Bank will host its 11th annual Trade and Business Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Downtown Marriott.
This conference comes at a time when Intermountain West companies are growing overseas. According to the International Trade Administration, Utah merchandise exports increased 37 percent in 2011 compared to 2010, growing from 13.8 billion dollars to 18.9 billion dollars.
Carly Fiorina (Fyor-ee-na) will be the keynote speaker at the event, she's the former Chairman and CEO of Hewlett Packard.
Additional speakers at this year's event include JetBlue and Azul airlines founder David Neeleman, and Max Boot, a leading military historian and foreign-policy analyst who is a senior fellow in national security studies at the Council on Foreign Relations; plus Stephen Moore, senior economics writer at the Wall Street Journal.
