This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.
Did you know that your body is so connected with itself that it's constantly sending signals to maintain your health? Dr. Vaughn Cook has found a way to capture this information and use it to help your healthcare provider in developing a treatment plan.
His Lindon company ZYTO brings Western and Eastern medicine together to improve diagnostics and support the patient. They created a survey through biocommunication where the ZYTO software essentially asks your body questions and records the responses. Information found this way can help you take a more proactive response to your health and make better decisions about your healthcare.
This is how it works. The patient's hand is placed in a cradle with six contact points that scan and translate the messaging from the body with changing patterns or shifts. The information about the patient collected through the device is downloaded to a software program that turns it into a report. The health care provider uses the bio survey as a compliment to their diagnosis in figuring out the best approach and treatment plan.
Just to be clear, ZYTO scans don't diagnose or recommend treatments; they provide information that healthcare professionals can consider when figuring out the appropriate treatment.
ZYTO is a publicly traded company since 2006 and is now in their eighth year of business with 30 employees, adding to Utah's growing employment base. Job sustainability is critical for our economy and our business development. ZYTO is also doing business around the world, adding to Utah's export portfolio, which has grown to be $18 billion plus in the last year alone.
Alternative medicine is growing as folks are taking charge of their health and are more involved in the decision making. If we select methods that can possibly increase our odds for improved health . . . why not?
ZYTO considers their approach through digital biolinking to be "decision-support technology" designed for health care professionals with the idea of bettering the patient's overall health.
