This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

We just get up in the morning, get ready and say goodbye to the kids and spouse and don't really think about all the systems working for our safe involvement in the world. Traffic lights, Internet access, phone lines and the contribution of Universal Cylinder Service.

That's right, a company that refurbishes and recovers all types of cylinders that, as a society, we use for a variety of things. Like oxygen in our hospitals, for example, or the cylinders that house our Diet Cokes. How about the oxygen in our aircrafts or the cylinders that are part of the landing gear in airplanes?

At some point in time they all have to be overhauled and that's where Mel Milgrom steps in. He believes his company, Universal Cylinder Service in Salt Lake City, is in the business of keeping us safe. Mel understands safety since his background is the position of Deputy Fire Marshal in Utah for 15 years. In fact, he was the fire marshal for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

With all the equipment being upgraded, Mel has built world-class state-of-the-art hydrostatic testing with the most allowable testing strength so he can take his customers' cylinders and test them underwater. If they have stress fractures, they explode under water . . . perfect because we want them to blow up there and not in our faces.

Mel is on top of his customers' needs, and so are his 14 employees because Universal Cylinder Service now has a system that allows them to take fire extinguishers, scuba tanks and other cylinders and completely refurbish without removing the metal from the tank. This is important because removing the metal can cause them to thin out. This type of refurbishment allows them to perform like new.

The U.S. Department of Transportation has given the nod to Universal Cylinder Service which means if they inspect a cylinder and if it doesn't pass their inspection, that's the final word. With companies like Universal Cylinder Service, it's no wonder Utah has the most dynamic economy in the nation.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
