This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

Little did Jeff Bishoff know when he was on his service mission in Seoul, Korea he would discover something he just had to bring home so everyone could have the same experience. It's massage socks. That's right, socks designed to massage your feet as you walk.

You can only imagine the amount of walking Jeff did in Korea, and he said the socks felt great. He can tell a difference when he is wearing the socks and when he's not. Think about the thousands of nerve endings in the bottom of your feet. He believes massage socks give your feet the needed stimulation.

After Jeff returned to Utah and was finishing up his MBA at Westminster, he decided to pursue the massage socks because he couldn't get the idea out of his entrepreneurial brain. So, Nick Hanks joined his business, and Massox was born. They set off to design the sock with small bumps on the bottom inside to address the pressure points of your feet. Pressure points in the feet are connected with body organs and can positively affect their function including vision, digestion, sleep quality, migraines, blood pressure and anxiety. They can also be used to treat sickness.

After the sock design was produced, they entered the business plan and won Westminster's Opportunity Quest competition in 2011 which provided the validation they were looking for. Massox went on to be named a finalist in the statewide Utah Entrepreneur Challenge where Jeff and Nick won the Best Written Business Plan award and Best Brand Identity.

The socks are designed in three different colors with one fun brown plaid design because Jeff thinks socks should be expressive. Pay attention to the younger male professionals who are starting to rebel against your everyday greys and blues. Boring!

The owners have secured a position at D. Grant, Ltd. in the Foothill Village Shopping Center, which is a wonderful men's clothing store. Massox is another example of why Salt Lake City was named third in the nation for innovation and entrepreneurship.

For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
