Grab and Go Water Jugs

Have water available for 1 (one) gallon per person per day. Have extra water for house pet(s), cleansing and sanitation.

Tips:

· Store-bought bottled water is great for home emergency water.

· Drink stored water and replace with new case. Keep water rotating.

· Update larger water containers such as 5 gallon jugs every six months.

· Keep track of bottled water with expiration dates. Up to 3 years shelf-life.

· Keep your emergency water storage up-to-date and fresh.

Emergency Porta-Potty

. 5 gallon bucket with carry handle

. Seat with lid (can be purchased at emergency stores, army/navy surplus stores, etc.)

· 8 gallon size plastic garbage bags to line bucket (several boxes & remove rolls for compact room).

· 7-8 rolls of toilet tissues (place individually in plastic zip lock bags to keep from moisture and drying out).

· Hand sanitizer gels, moist wipes.

· Air freshener (option).

· 1 (one) 2-liter plastic bottle with small grain kitty litter. Sprinkle small amount in bottom lined plastic garbage bag. Kitty litter absorbs the droppings to keep from odor. After 2-3 use, remove the seat, tie top of bag and throw used bag in the garbage.

· 1 roll of paper towels to clean bucket.

· Disinfectant wipes to clean; disinfects and deodorizes seat and bucket

Tips:

· There are numerous styles of portable potties that can be purchased at emergency stores, outlet stores, and local stores located in the camping section.

· "Portable Potty" kit is not just for emergencies. Take along on picnic outings, camping, fishing trips, etc.

· For night use, add a flashlight and extra batteries to the kit.

· Stick on push lights to place on seat lid for lighting in case of no power (option).

· Make portable potty kits for birthday and Christmas gifts to add with other emergency preparedness kits.
