The Panavision PSR 35mm camera used to film the original Star Wars movie sold for over $600,000 at auction this week, a sale price which broke the record for highest selling price for a camera ever.
The camera was refurbished back to its original state, was said to be in full working order, and now the new owner can get to work filming Episode 4 all over again! Just kidding, but wouldnt it be hilarious if someone bought the camera then remade such a beloved movie?
