What time of day is the sun highest in the sky over Salt Lake City?

When the sun is highest in the sky and when your shadow points directly north or south depending on what latitude you live at is called solar noon. Although we have lunch at noon pretty often, actual solar noon is not at 12:00 pm everyday, it changes because our path around the sun changes all the time.
To calculate solar noon you can use the link on the right. For March 29th, Solar Noon in Salt Lake is at 12:32. At this time, your shadow should point directly north. This also marks the midpoint between the sunris and the sunset time.
