SALT LAKE CITY — The third teenager involved in a Utah County train accident Saturday night has died. Thirteen-year-old Savannah "Savvy" Webster passed away at Primary Children's Medical Center Tuesday evening.
Savannah was with her sister and a friend Saturday night when all three were hit by a train. Kelsea Webster and Essa Ricker, both 15, died at the scene of the accident. Savannah was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

What makes these situations difficult for parents is you can't make it better. Here are some tips for helping your teen cope with the loss of a friend or classmate.On Tuesday evening, the Webster family released a statement saying "the doctors informed the family that Savvy's brain injuries were too great" and she would not be able to recover. She died a short time later.
The Utah County Sheriff's Office says the teens had been taking pictures on the railroad tracks just off U.S. 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon near the small community of Covered Bridge. The teens apparently knew one train was coming but did not realize another train was approaching from the opposite direction and were caught between them.
In the statement, the Webster family also thanked the community for the love and support they have received through this difficult time. "Our hearts are full as others' love has reached across the miles and touched our family. We know that our girls will find a special place in God's arms and that His purpose and plan will continue."
Funeral services for the Webster girls are planned for Saturday, Oct. 22. More detailed information will be released at a later time.
