Oscar-nominated actress SHARON STONE has taken the credit for raising women's salaries in Hollywood.
The 47-year-old, who is reportedly earning $13.6 million (£8 million) for her upcoming role in BASIC INSTINCT 2: RISK ADDICTION, believes she has helped close the gender gap.
She says, "It's important to me that women get properly paid. When I started out you could not get paid a lot.
"Even now, I'm not getting what MICHAEL DOUGLAS got the first for BASIC INSTINCT (in 1992), but I am getting quite a bit. I think I broke a few glass ceilings in my day." (AV/WNTMI/GES)
