SALT LAKE CITY -- Seventeen-year-old Micheala got the star treatment at Hazen Photography, where she got professional makeup, hair and a photo shoot.
That's because a star is exactly what this high school senior hopes to become. Micheala says she loves acting because "it gets me out of my shell."
But before she can take over the big or small screen, this aspiring actress hopes to land the role of a lifetime: Daughter.
Micheala has been a foster kid for the past six years and moved to a different home just about every year.
After all that instability, the teen says she's ready to find a permanent family.
"I've been waiting," she said, but that's not all she's been doing.

Micheala is an intelligent young woman with a sweet personality. She loves to read and can often be found with a book in her hands. Micheala also enjoys dancing and acting. Her dreams include someday becoming a successful actress.
During her time as a foster child, she said, "I've been able to change some things about myself. That has been hard, but it has helped me grow."
Micheala says she's kind and has a good heart. This avid reader actually likes to follow the rules and even calls herself a bit of a goody-two-shoes. That's why she's hoping to find home filled with kindness and love.
"People who love each other and people, kids, who are not afraid to talk to their parents and do fun stuff, like go to movies, go shopping, go on vacations," she said.
All the things a family is supposed to do, she's waiting to be a part of.
