The Utah Water Garden Club was formed in May of 2000 as a non-profit organization.
-----
The objectives:
Encourage a greater appreciation and knowledge of water gardening.
Stimulate the study and culture of water gardens, which includes: installation, water quality, fish, plants, and filtration.
Recruit a group of individuals who want to learn more about water gardening in a fun, relaxed and enjoyable fashion.
Build friendships with others who enjoy the hobby of ponds as much as you do!
-----
How do I become a member?
Feel free to attend a meeting to see if it's right for you prior to joining the UWGC.
Annual dues are $18.00 for singles and $24.00 for couples and are collected at meetings.
-----
When do we hold meetings?
The Club meets the third Thursday of each month (usually at 7:00 PM). The location varies with summer time meetings pond side at members' homes. Guests are always welcome.
-----
What do we do at meetings?
When weather permits, we meet pond side at various members' locations. Hosts explain their pond construction, unique vegetation, filtering techniques, types of fish, and any other interesting information about their ponds. Typically, a discussion and question and answer period follow along with refreshments. We also welcome an occasional guest speaker, or highlight a unique event, such as our annual BBQ or plant and fish giveaway.
