(NBC News) -- Texas teenager missing for three years has been reunited with her family.
Authorities, working off an anonymous tip, found Chelsea Castorena in Tijuana, Mexico where she was living on the streets.
She was 15 when her family reported her missing from their home in Austin, Texas.
Federal authorities brought the teen across the border to San Diego last night.
Her mom flew in from Texas and the two were reunited today.
Special Agent Jan Caldwell / San Diego FBI: "She missed a lot of good years there, and hopefully she can recover some of those when she is reunited at home".
Federal officials think Castorena was somehow lured across the border when she disappeared in February 2003.
They believe this is an isolated incident and not part of a larger operation.
