NEW YORK, Jan 30, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Pre-sale tickets for Julia Roberts' Broadway debut in the play "Three Days of Rain" raked in $7 million in a single day, it was reported Monday.
Weekend tickets will be hard to come by during the play's 12-week run at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, the New York Daily News reported. The only weekend tickets remaining are $215.25 in the center of the first dozen rows, Telecharge.com said.
All of the other orchestra seat tickets -- which go for $101.25 -- are gone for Roberts' entire run. Side tickets for some weekday performances are still available, in the $61.25 to $81.25 range.
Telecharge.com said it was so inundated with ticket requests Saturday, its server crashed.
The mystery starring the Hollywood actress opens March 28.
