(KSL News) -- Age could play a role in breast cancer survivor rates.
Swedish researchers say women ages 70 to 84, have a 13- percent lower chance of surviving the disease. Women ages 50 to 69, have better survival rates.
Researchers say the older patients are more likely to be diagnosed later than young women. They say older patients are less likely to undergo aggressive treatment.
