LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- Dec 13, 2005 -- Entertainment Partners LLC announced today that the first-week sales of "Criminal The Book" eChapter One, the first installment of the eBook novella available exclusively at http://www.criminalthebook.com, have topped the one million-reader mark.

"Criminal The Book's" one million online readers smashes the first week record of two hundred and fifty thousand readers previously held by "L.A. Player." "How To Be an L.A. Player," marketed by Response Base, a former Intermix Company, and "Criminal The Book" eChapter One, released by Las Vegas-based Entertainment Partners LLC are both authored by Stan Lerner.

Lerner, the writer, director and producer of this summer's hit urban comedy "Meet The Family," and "Night Tribe," the mega-hit live event spectacle at the Rio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2003, have made the Los Angeles native the hottest and most unconventional creative force in Hollywood.

His latest work, a novel depicting the brutal rise to power of American Drug Lord "Sam Noah," is a departure from his lighthearted and provocative work of late. "Criminal The Book," much to the delight of Lerner fans, is a return to the dark roots of his early career. Lerner says, "Over the years a lot of people have asked me to write this book, but very few people really understood what they were asking for. Most writing today is about entertainment. 'Criminal' is not about that. 'Criminal' is a journey into the darkest places of the heart and mind. I had real reservations about taking my readers to these places. I still do."

Andrew Jay, spokesman for Entertainment Partners LLC, says, "Stan Lerner is the best and most intriguing writer in the world today. He has an understanding of the criminal mind literally like no other person on the planet and there was no way our company was going to rest until we made this happen."

Jay goes on to say, "I grew up in the same city as Stan. We went to the same schools. He wrote and directed his first play when he was in fifth grade. I was in the audience. Everybody, including teachers and parents, were shocked at how good it was. I've followed his career ever since and when he came to Las Vegas and did 'Night Tribe' at the Rio Hotel and Casino. I showed up and rekindled our friendship."

There has been a great deal of speculation as to why Lerner left the Rio. Jay says, "Stan was the best thing to happen to the Rio in a long time. He took them from has been, to happening, literally in a couple of months. The day he left Entertainment Partners LLC recognized the opportunity to step in and work with him. An experience we are obviously enjoying very much right now."
