Actor who appeared in 'It's a Wonderful Life' dies

LOS ANGELES - Argentina Brunetti, a character actor who played the worried wife of Mr. Martini in the classic film It's a Wonderful Life, has died. She was 98.

Brunetti, who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, died in her sleep Tuesday in Rome, said Ben Ohmart, whose Boalsburg, Pa.,-based publishing house, BearManor Media, released Brunetti's autobiography, In Sicilian Company.

Brunetti starred in dozens of films and television shows over a career spanning more than 50 years.

She portrayed Dean Martin's mother in the 1953 comedy The Caddy, in which Martin sings That's Amore to her, and performed with Desi Arnaz in the 1949 film Holiday in Havana.

Off screen, Brunetti was a founding member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and wrote a weekly column for foreign language publications in Canada and Italy. Mike Myers and wife decide to end marriage

LOS ANGELES - Austin Powers star Mike Myers and his wife, Robin Ruzan are ending their 12-year marriage, a spokeswoman said Friday.

"They remain committed and caring friends," publicist Ina Treciokas said in a statement.

The 42-year-old actor-comedian and Ruzan, a writer and actor, were married in May 1993. They have no children.

Myers, an alum of NBC's Saturday Night Live, starred in the Wayne's World films, 2003's Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat, and voiced the giant green ogre in the Shrek movies.
