TSA is beefing up holiday security...just in time for the big rush.
Anyone flying tomorrow needs to prepare for more random additional screening and also extended pat-downs. The security agency also changed its' list of prohibited items earlier this month and those too go into effect tomorrow.
Some tips to speed up the security process. Obviously, arrive at the airport early. The typical rule of thumb is an hour before any domestic flight, but you may want to add a half hour to that. Also...on the "do not" list...do not wrap gifts or overpack bags Remember...before you go through security, double check your pockets, bags and carry-on luggage to make sure you did not inadvertently pack prohibited items... items like knives or scissors.
