Talk about a well-kept secret. South Davis Community Hospital is nestled in a quiet Bountiful neighborhood, doing amazing work for patients from all over the state. Even if you aren't familiar with the name, it's not a secret to people in the health care industry. South Davis Community Hospital provides non-profit specialty care for children and adults of all ages. The high level of care has tied into the hospital's staff.

This 550-employee hospital has very little turnover. It's the type of place where people come for a long career. Employees feel deeply South Davis Community Hospital's mission of specialized care. In speaking with CEO David Bland, he appreciates the team of extraordinary professionals on board who are committed to improving patients' lives.

With one of only three similar units in the state, the hospital's transitional care services include LTAC (l-tack) and skilled nursing. They are organized to be a collaborator and supporter of hospitals such as Primary Children's Medical Center, University of Utah and Lakeview.

The South Davis Community Hospital Foundation is currently raising funds for a 20 million dollar pediatric expansion project. The addition will help the hospital continue their charity care and will enhance healing opportunities for pediatric and LTAC patients. Many of the patients at South Davis Community Hospital receive extensive care. This is good to know. The hospital has one of the largest Respiratory Therapy teams in Utah and specializes in weaning ventilator dependent patients.

This is an impressive and growing facility that values their patients and residents and believes in putting families first. Their reputation was built on providing only the best care through talented employees. They've received both state and national recognition. This includes the Best of State Award for Health Care Services and the prestigious Step One National Quality Award, one of only four hospitals in Utah to receive this honor. They've also received their Quality Respiratory Care Recognition status.

David prides South Davis Community Hospital on offering the most current and effective care programs.
