HONOLULU, Dec 1, 2005 (UPI via COMTEX) -- A Hawaiian woman whose boyfriend allegedly beat her into a coma is being kept on life support in hopes that she will have a healthy baby.

Sarah Fay is in a Honolulu hospital. Her sister told the Honolulu Advertiser her family hopes she can be kept technically alive for two weeks to give the fetus more time to develop.

"She's brain-dead, there's nothing there, so as soon as the baby is born, we want to let her go so that she can rest peacefully," Stacey Fay said.

Marwann Timothy Saad Jackson has already been charged with murder. Police say Sarah Fay is already legally dead.

The couple were house-sitting on the island of Hawaii when Jackson, who has a history of assault arrests, allegedly attacked his girlfriend.
