LOS ANGELES, Nov 29, 2005 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Shakira says her latest album shows how comfortable she's become with the English language.

The Colombian pop singer sold 13 million copies of 2001's "Laundry Service," her first-ever English album. But back then, she says, "my knees were shaking because I was put in front of this intellectual challenge." The new "Oral Fixation, Vol. 2" is a different matter.

"Today it's much more of a natural process for me to write in English," says Shakira, who was performing for 14 years before "Laundry Service." "I find myself writing in English and not even thinking about it, without even planning on it. It just happens, which made me very happy. I think that I'm finally bilingual after so many years."

"Oral Fixation, Vol. 2" follows the Spanish-language "Fijacion Oral, Vol. 1," which came out in June and has sold 3 million copies.

Shakira is planning a world tour for 2006.
