Utah is home to a unique treasure the like of which can't be found anywhere else in the United States. Of course I'm talking about the Great Salt Lake. You may have grown up on tales of Saltair resort that was truly one of Utah's gems or have enjoyed floating in the salty waters yourself.
Not only is the Great Salt Lake home to a wide variety of native water fowl, but it's also home to the brine shrimp industry that ships its products all over the world. But, did you know it also provides a line of organic skin care products?
A native Utahn, Larry Hansen caught onto the possibilities that the Great Salt Lake presented. He felt there was no need to import such items from Israel when they could be produced right here in Utah. This became the basis for Ojavan Products, which provides its Aromatherapy bath salts and America's Dead Sea mud masks, as well as organic skin care and beauty products. The company has been received with enthusiasm thus far.
In addition to owning the successful Ojavan Products, Larry is also the owner and founder of Ogden-based Pinnacle Marketing Communications. The company focuses on providing marketing solutions for other organizations with an emphasis in the publishing industry. Part of this work is for Utah's travel and tourism industry, which helps guide more than 20 million people who visit the state each year. The company's philosophy toward projects is to "get to the point" as quickly as possible and to always be ready for change. Pinnacle cares for its clients and works to develop strong partnerships with them because success is tied directly to its clients' success.
Pinnacle Marketing Communications is distinguished by its ability to think outside the box and listen to what its clients say. Larry feels his employees, who range from very young to well-seasoned individuals, are one of the best assets to the business. Their varying ages and degrees of experience give a wide range of perspectives that are invaluable to clients. His best business advice is to work harder than anyone else and always, always, always deliver what you say you're going to deliver.
For Zions Bank, I'm Chris Redgrave, speaking on business.
