As parents, we are told that we should give our kids our time and attention. And it's true, children need our time and attention, but occasionally parents take that attention too far and begin living the child's life for them; vicariously living through them. How do we create a balance between teaching children and protecting them from their own choices? Relationship expert, Matt Townsend says that we should teach our children basic principles of living. We should teach things like the law of the harvest, the law of consequences, and how to contribute to society and then let children learn from their own experiences.
