Bruce Rowe seemed to have it all: a great job, a wonderful family and a comfortable lifestyle. But the hours required for his job were too much, especially after he realized one day that he hadn't seen his children awake for three months. He decided it was time for a career change.

While waiting for a new job to begin, Bruce started helping a family friend sell emergency preparedness items through a mail-order catalog. He realized his friend's marketing strategy had a few glitches that inhibited the company from reaching as wide of an audience as it could. He convinced his friend to increase his Web presence to facilitate more online orders. The plan worked even better than they could've anticipated, revolutionizing the company's operations.

Bruce received a job offer from another company, and using the same techniques as before, he tripled the company's sales within six months. At that point he realized Internet marketing was a powerful tool instead of a passing fad. He also discovered that many of the Internet marketing companies already in existence were approaching it the wrong way. He came up with a more effective business strategy and started offering it to clients as a side business in the evenings. His plan was to launch his own company within two years. Instead, three months later, he left his full-time job and started Orem-based Sebo Marketing in January 2005.

Sebo Marketing offers three main services: building attractive and easy-to-use websites; making sure Google and other search engines like the site to maximize traffic; and Pay-Per-Click advertising, or Google AdWords, which is advertising launched through the sponsored links from Google searches.

Running a successful Internet marketing company hasn't come without its challenges, but Bruce feels Sebo Marketing has a bright future. He and his employees plan to continue helping their clients succeed online through methods they know are effective.
