SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The man accused of kidnapping Elizabeth Smart is expected in court today.

Brian David Mitchell's second competency hearing is scheduled today at 9 a.m. at the Matheson Courthouse.

Mitchell's trial was originally scheduled this week on charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault.

However, the judge ordered a second competency hearing for the self-proclaimed prophet following a December hearing, in which he sang "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel."

During a January hearing Mitchell had his second outburst. He chanted "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." before being escorted out of the courtroom.

Mitchell's former wife Wanda Barzee, who is also charged in the 2002 kidnapping, was found mentally incompetent to stand trial and is currently at the Utah State Hospital.
