Today, more than 57 million Americans belong to homeowners associations. HOAs, as they are commonly called, are designed to help maintain property values and enforce community rules. So wouldn't it make sense that an organization would be created to help with this process?

That's exactly what Becki Wheeler decided almost 10 years ago. A real estate agent since the age of 19, she realized there was a huge need to create a full-service association management company to assist developers, builders and board members in the creation of successful homeowner associations. She began working with a few clients, and today, Community Solutions & Sales manages more than 60 homeowner associations along the Wasatch Front.

Community Solutions & Sales is thriving. The company collects homeowners' dues, prepares the association's annual budgets, enters into landscaping and snow removal contracts, monitors that communities are adequately insured, writes monthly newsletters, creates Web sites and addresses other responsibilities associated with protecting real estate values in the communities they serve.

Community Solutions received a huge boost in 2001 when it was awarded the housing contract for many government employees during the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The company provided housing for organizations including the FBI, Secret Service, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and others.

Becki attributes her success to a great staff of association managers, leasing agents, realtors, assistants and office and maintenance staff who are all committed to creating a sense of community and providing a high level of service to the associations they serve. Community Solutions & Sales operates through seven association management offices along the Wasatch Front.
