(KSL News) Utah Sen. Bob Bennett says he would support an increase in the gas tax if the money went to build new schools and roads.
Speaking yesterday during a meeting of the Joint Economic Committee, Bennett said he would support a modest increase to pay for new projects. However, he said he has no plans to introduce a bill calling for the increase any time soon.
He also said he does not think Congress has done enough to repair worn roads and update schools.
