SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker is seeking public comments on a proposed alcohol ordinance.
Under Becker's proposal, the city would end its ban on having more than two bars per block.
The city is also considering allowing bars in some neighborhoods' commercial districts.
Becker says the goal is to create a lively, walkable city.
The public can submit comments to mayor@slcgov.com. Comments are due by Sept. 25.
