Ashley Hayes ReportingVolunteers at Rowland Hall-St. Marks School and Crossroads Urban Center are preparing their annual Christmas Dinner Giveaway.
They've collected enough food items to feed 1,100 families a holiday meal.
More than 300 volunteer hours go into the project each year. For months, volunteers have been collecting donated food. On two days previously, volunteers organized the non-perishable items into bags for different sized families.
They also have no cook bags for people without stoves or who are homeless.
Rowland Hall has participated in this project for 11 years. Crossroads has been doing it for 20 years.
The giveaway begins around 10 am at 920 East 800 South.
