Nonprofit hosts back-to-school event with free supplies, and haircuts this weekend

SALT LAKE CITY — A local nonprofit is helping Utah students head back to school with everything they need.

Day Won, a nonprofit focused on giving back to the next generation, hosted its fourth annual Back-to-School event Saturday in West Valley City.

The event included free backpacks packed with school supplies, along with free haircuts for students. Families are also invited to learn about local resources aimed at helping set their kids up for success in the upcoming school year.

The event was held at 10 a.m. at the City Park 4552 W. 3500 South from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
