SALT LAKE CITY — Windy weather led to a cluster of power outages across northern Utah on Wednesday.
According to Rocky Mountain Power, more than 8,000 customers, spanning from Logan to the southern end of Salt Lake County, were impacted by the outages.
A photo sent to KSL showed power poles down on 1700 South between 2100 and 2300 East.
Rocky Mountain Power reported that a large portion of affected residents are near Salt Lake County's east bench, with more than 2,300 customers impacted, and in South Salt Lake, where more than 1,000 people are affected by the winds.
More than 1,300 customers are without power in northern Utah between Box Elder and Cache counties.
Calls to Rocky Mountain Power on Wednesday afternoon seeking more information about the situation were not answered immediately.
