SALT LAKE CITY — Guest artists who will join the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square at the "Songs of Hope Benefit Concert" include Donny Osmond and two husband-and-wife duos.
The concert, which will be held in Los Angeles on June 24 and 25, will be at the Hollywood Bowl. All revenue from ticket sales will benefit women and children around the world as donations to charities matched by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The church and the O.C. Tanner Gift of Music Trust announced the guest artists on Monday — Osmond, David Foster, Katharine McPhee, Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus.
The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square first performed at the Hollywood Bowl 100 years ago, according to the Hollywood Bowl's website, where tickets can be purchased.
"Audiences can expect soaring harmonies, acclaimed guest artists, and an inspiring musical program designed for one of the world's most iconic outdoor stages," it said.
Tickets in the large outdoor theater range from $10 to almost $200.
The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square's Songs of Hope tour has brought the choir to Mexico, the Philippines, Peru, Argentina and Brazil as the choir has expanded its global travel.
The charities benefiting from the concert's proceeds include CARE, Helen Keller Intl and The Hunger Project — each is part of the Relief Society initiative Caring for Women and Children, the announcement said.
Osmond is known for his role as Joseph in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." The announcement called him "one of the world's most enduring entertainers" with a career spanning over six decades.
Foster, a well-known composer and producer, recently composed the Broadway musical "Boop!" and released a Christmas album with his wife, McPhee.
McPhee rose to fame during the fifth season of "American Idol," and her career has stretched into film, television and Broadway.
Block and Arcelus starred together in the Broadway revival and tour of "Into the Woods." Block is also known for her performance in "Sunset Boulevard" and "The Cher Show." She and her husband regularly perform together and have one child.
Arcelus is also known for roles in "Madam Secretary" and "House of Cards" and as a voice actor.
