PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia school teacher has become the center of news and social media attention over the last few days, at the cost of her vehicle.
Tianna Graham told Action News that her 2016 Honda Civic was parked near the site of a 6-inch water main break reported last week. It was stuck behind caution tape while crews worked in the area, and Graham said police didn't let her move it.
As cars drove by, water continually splashed onto the car, and freezing temperatures led to it being encased in ice, firmly frozen in place, as shown in the video below.
Action News reported on Monday that the ice was chipped away and the car was towed from its spot.
Graham's unfortunate car saga captivated millions, with her three videos documenting the incident, garnering a combined 49.8 million views on TikTok. In the caption of one of the videos, Graham added that her car was likely totaled.
Graham's girlfriend has since launched a GoFundMe* campaign to help Graham recover from "something completely out of her control."
Apparently, it's not always sunny in Philadelphia.
