THE NEIGHBORHOOD — We all know leaving a bowl of Halloween candy unattended on your porch is like ringing the dinner bell for hungry teenagers. So it's not surprising on the morning after Halloween, millions of frustrated homeowners post doorbell camera footage on Facebook showing kids emptying entire bowls of candy into their bags and then fleeing into the night.

As someone who is constantly craving sweets, I must admit that I feel tempted when I'm out trick-or-treating with my kids and see a bowl brimming with fun-size Snickers sitting there all alone on someone's porch. If my kids weren't watching and there wasn't a doorbell camera at the house, it would take all the self-control I could muster not to jog over and grab a handful.

So even though I disapprove of teenage candy bandits, I definitely understand where they're coming from. Amidst all the drama surrounding video footage of candy thefts, I found this video to be very uplifting.

According to the video description, this scene unfolded in Pocomoke City, Maryland.

"We left a bowl of candy out for trick-or-treaters," the caption states. "It was empty by the time we came home from trick-or-treating. I was looking over the Ring camera to see how many kids we had, so we could plan better for next year, and found this!"

Wow! That is a seriously amazing kid. Not only is he not taking more than his share from unwatched bowls, but he goes around the neighborhood distributing candy like some modern-day Johnny Appleseed.
