CALIFORNIA — I got a snowblower a few years ago and it's been a lifesaver on wintery mornings. As long as there's less than 12 inches of snow, I can get the entire driveway cleared in about 15 minutes. Sure, I wish my Snow Joe electric snowblower could throw snow farther, but I'm otherwise happy with my purchase.

My Snow Joe has been powerless against these recent big storms. I might as well be using my lawn mower. There's just too much snow for it to even make a dent.

After watching this video, however, I'm realizing there are people in the Lake Tahoe area who are dealing with a bit more snow than me.

"We are having a crazy winter with a ton of snow here in California," the video caption explains. "We have had over 350 inches of snow! All of the houses are buried, and our neighbor is having to tunnel into his house to get in. We went to check out how to get in and out of his house."

It would be great to have your home insulated by all that snow. I think it'd be like a giant version of the snow caves we used to make in Boy Scouts, which could save you a bundle on your monthly heating bill.

On the other hand, I enjoy walking through my front door. It would get pretty annoying if I had to burrow like a snowshoe hare every time I wanted to go inside.
