SALT LAKE CITY — The family of a man killed in a hit-and-run auto-pedestrian crash a month ago is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver responsible.

On Jan. 15, about 1:45 a.m., Brandon Maher, 31, was hit by a dark-colored SUV near 700 East and 500 South. Police say the vehicle was headed south on 700 East when it allegedly ran a red light and hit Maher, who was in a crosswalk.

"Based on evidence at the scene, detectives are looking for a smaller, dark-colored Chevy truck with front-end damage," Salt Lake City police stated.
