SALT LAKE CITY — Police have identified a man killed in a rollover crash near the Salt Lake City International Airport on Thursday.

Norman Brent Stevenson, 70, was driving west on 2100 North when he lost control of his car, causing it to roll several times, Salt Lake police said.

Police say they attempted to save the Stevenson's life, but he died at the scene.

Speed likely played a factor in the crash, according to police.

Police did not know Stevenson's city of residence.

The crash marks the 17th traffic-related fatality in Salt Lake City so far this year.
