THE LIVING ROOM — I grew up on a street that had right around a billiondy kids who lived on it.
That scientific term "billiondy" came about because I think each family on the street averaged something like five kids each. It didn't hurt we had one family with 10 kids and another with 11. With all these youths running around at all time, there was always something fun going down on Piper Lane.
One of our favorite past times was basketball, and everyone congregated at my house for the shenanigans. This was because my family had the flattest driveway on the street and because we had two basketball hoops.
That's right, folks, we were playing full court at the Clyde house. Granted the driveway was only about 15 feet across, which made for pretty quick cross-court transitions, but still.
The second hoop was an adjustable one, so the gaggle of kids would come and hold dunk contests at our house all the time. We thought we were ready for the NBA as we crushed dunks on the hoop at a towering 7 feet. Then the older and more athletic kids would show up and push that thing all the way to 8 feet. Sometimes we'd get Matt, who had Karl Malone's L.A. Gear Catapults, to come over and make us raise it to 8½ feet as he threw down monster dunks with the mini basketball.
When we grew up and realized regulation hoops at 10 feet are absurdly high, we left our dreams of dunking glory in the rearview — but not Addison Stewart. That dude is living his best mini hoop dunk ball life on TikTok.

Stewart has 81,000 followers and loves to show his TikTok friends his mad skills as he dunks on his mini hoop. I have to say many of his dunks are pretty incredible. I've only shared one video here, but check out his page for a whole slew of dunk videos.
What separates Stewart from all of us who lived on Piper Lane is not only is he still dunking like crazy, but the mini hoop is only a part of his repertoire. On his page he has many videos of him throwing down dunks on full-size hoops. Something to make those dunks even cooler: Stewart is only 5-foot-8.
His dunks on regulation hoops are awesome. But for my money, I love the mini hoop jams. They only get better when he enrolls what looks to be his little sister to help out.
Keep it up, Stewart. You're living out the dream of every kid who grew up on my street so many years ago.
