THE FARM — When you're looking for something to please everyone, you don't need to look any further than baby animals.
Tiny, clumsy, wide-eyed creatures (whether they are fuzzy or not) have made the most stoic among us squeal, the most squealy of us cry, and everything in between.
Even if there's a person out there right now that feels "ew, gross," about interacting with animals, there's still a high chance that they have felt at least one warm fuzzy based on a picture, GIF or video of a baby animal.
However, there is a difference between a baby animal and a newborn animal. And that difference can be jarring to say the least.
In this video, an alpaca rancher is showing off the newest member of the herd, a freshly born cria (baby alpaca). And we're talking freshly born.
The sight is stunning, and not in a "I'm going to adopt all the baby creatures in the whole world" or a "supermodel on a runway" way. Nope.
It turns out newborn alpacas look like a kindergartner's drawing of a horse where the proportions are, just, wrong. So wrong, in fact, that it can get to the point where these drawings can make you feel uncomfortable if you didn't know it was the creation of a child.
Everything is just too long. There's no way those long, narrow legs could support the too-long body. And there's no way that too-long neck will ever support that big ol' head.
But nature knows better than we do, and pretty soon every baby alpaca becomes so cute and fluffy that there's no way that this video will haunt you forever. But you may want to do a Google search of "baby alpacas" after you watch the video just to make sure.
