Power restored in Salt Lake City after outage affected over 5,000 customers

Rocky Mountain Power is warning business customers to be on the lookout for scammers.

SALT LAKE CITY — Power has been restored for the 5,623 Salt Lake City customers who experienced outages Sunday evening, according to Rocky Mountain Power.

Around 3:30 p.m. Rocky Mountain Power reported 5,623 customers in Salt Lake City were experiencing a power outage. Originally, the outage was estimated to last until 8:30 p.m., but Rocky Mountain Power tweeted that it restored power to all affected customers as of 5:26 p.m.

In its tweet, Rocky Mountain Power asked any still experiencing an outage after resetting their main breakers to visit http://rockymountainpower.net/outage or text "OUT" to 759677.
