CHINA — There’s good news and bad news for Disney fans next month.
The good news is that the studio’s highly anticipated live-action remake of “Mulan” is debuting on Disney+ on Sept. 4.
The bad news is that it’s only available in the U.S. with what Disney is calling “Premier Access.” That means that if you want to see “Mulan,” you’ll have to pay $30 on top of what you already pay for Disney+ to access the film.
Once you pay the hefty price, though, you’ll be able to watch “Mulan” as many times as you want. And Disney+ says paying the $30 gets you access to the movie “before it's available to all Disney+ subscribers,” which suggests it might become available in the future for subscribers who don’t pay the extra money.
For more frugal folks, Disney+ is offering a number of other new titles outside of “Premier Access.” Here’s a look at everything coming to the streaming service next month, according to a news release from the company.
