THE ALLEY — Everyone knows that you don’t mess with feral cats, or in the very least, you must approach them with experience and caution.

Some street cats have been abandoned house pets who may be a little more willing to be approached, but some have lived their whole lives as feral creatures, and no stinking human will get in their way of that lifestyle. And if they do, a hurricane of teeth and claws awaits them.

Without human companionship, feral cats will often form a clowder, or group, to get at least some type of companionship and protection. But that doesn’t mean every cat is welcome. Just like the Jets and the Sharks from "Westside Story," you gotta stay on your own turf, or you’ll catch some heat. And that’s just what happens in the feature video.

In this clip, a lone cat accidentally finds itself in a group of cats where it is not welcome. Its hackles are raised, and it’s clear that it’s calculating an escape route as quickly as possible.

And the results are nothing but incredible.

Ping off the wall here, dodge over there, and a quick slip that-a-way, and the cat has nothing left to do but run as fast as possible to get out of the alley. It’s an incredible display of the quick thinking and movements of cats.

On a personal note, I believe in my heart that the cat got away totally terrified but completely unscathed.
