SALT LAKE CITY — The Pete Buttigieg campaign announced Sunday that the location of the candidate's Monday-night town hall event in Salt Lake City has been changed.
Buttigieg will appear at The Union Events Center at 7 p.m.; he was previously scheduled to speak at The Complex.
His campaign wrote that the change is due to "overwhelming interest" in the event.
The former South Bend, Indiana, mayor is coming off strong showings in Iowa and New Hampshire, where he finished first and second, respectively, in close competition with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Utah is participating for the first time this year in the March 3 Super Tuesday primary elections that are expected to further narrow the crowded Democratic field.
Utahns who would like to attend Buttigieg's Monday town hall can sign up at https://www.mobilize.us/peteforamerica/event/216953/. The town hall is free and open to the public.
The Union Events Center is located at 235 N. 500 West in Salt Lake City.
