Police wives make ribbons for Officer Romrell's funeral services

Heber City Police Department

"Wasatch County police wives were 'busted' by Chief Booth making ribbons to distribute at the funeral for Officer Romrell who made the ultimate sacrifice. These ribbons are blue with a thin black line to show support for law enforcement when an officer has fallen. Officer Romrell was an officer with South Salt Lake Police Department. Thank you to all the wives who show up each time to make these ribbons!"

Group makes scarves and hats to donate to those in need

Suzette A.

"This is our second year with Scarfs in the Park. Last year, we had 380 items donated and this year we have over 1,300 items donated to be hung up for anyone in need. Saturday at 9 a.m. a group of volunteers met on the west side of Liberty Park to hang up scarfs, hats and mittens for ANYONE in need. They are all free and handmade by members of the community. Volunteers make these items that are tagged and then hung up on the first Saturday of December. If you missed helping this year, you can get started for next year by volunteering to knit or crochet scarves and hats. You can find more information on Facebook at Scarfs in the Park, SLC, UT."
