SHARKTOPIA — There's a place in the South Pacific Ocean that is so beautiful you might be tempted to call it paradise.

Fakarava is small island — or atoll — in French Polynesia. It's home to less than 700 people and is covered in pristine sandy beaches and coconut trees. Lonely Planet describes visiting Fakarava as "walking off into the sunset." Sounds pretty great, right? Definitely my idea of paradise.

But Fakarava is also a rather unique place, and if you want to call it paradise, you're going to have to really love sharks.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

As explained in this video from Great Big Story, the waters surrounding this beautiful island are also home to the highest concentration of grey reef sharks in the world. In fact, there are likely more sharks near Fakarava than people. If you love sharks, this might be a dream come true. For the rest of us, we might think twice before booking a scuba diving trip.

Whether you're a shark-lover or not, enjoy the video. It's short and relaxing and you'll probably learn something cool. After you watch it, let me know in the comments if you'd be willing to visit Fakarava and go for a swim through the wall of sharks.
