THE PITCH — Americans, for whatever reason, just aren’t interested in soccer as a whole.

I’m not here to fuel the fire between the soccer passionate and the soccer apathetic. I’ll leave that to the analysts, experts and fans. However, what I will do is seize the slim chance of building a bridge between each side of the spectrum. Or rather, I’ll let the Senegal national soccer team do it.

In this video, you’ll see the Lions of Teranga participate in a unique warmup, which includes dancing, chanting and infectious smiles.

No matter how you feel about soccer, you’ll have a hard time arguing against this video in any way. It’s full of team spirit, human joy and good feeling all around. I’ve watched it at least a dozen times in the space of an hour, and I get a goofy grin on my face every time.

Senegal made its 2018 World Cup start with a 2-1 victory over Poland, and it was the only African team (out of five) to win its opening match. The team battled Japan to a 2-2 draw on Sunday.
