PAWNEE, Ind. — According to everyone's favorite deputy director of a parks and recreation department Leslie Knope, "We need to remember what's important in life: friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third."
This is a principle the toddler in this viral video lives her life by, I'm sure.
The video, posted on Facebook last month, has 9 million views and several thousand comments with people saying some variation of "This is me 😂." And no, they're not quoting the hit song from "The Greatest Showman." It's just that a whole lot of people can seriously relate to the girl in the video and the meltdown she's having over waffles.
"I just can't stop thinking about waffles," the adorable toddler says through tears as the video starts. Her mom points out that she had already had waffles for dinner and breakfast, so she's got to eat something else now. But in true Leslie Knope style, the girl doesn't care.
"Why can't I just stop dreaming about waffles?!?" she continues.
Don't worry, sister, we've all been there. In fact, just a few weeks ago I had to make a late night trip to Target to purchase a waffle iron because I, too, could not stop dreaming about waffles. And let me just tell you, my life has improved tenfold since that moment.
Anyway, enjoy the video. It's cute, it's relatable, and it will probably give you a craving for really good breakfast food.
