OGDEN — A small fire in a bathroom of Mound Fort Junior High School forced the evacuation of the school Monday.

The Ogden Fire Department was called just after 11 a.m. to a report of a structure fire at the school, 1396 Liberty Ave. Deputy Chief Eric Bauman said the fire was about out by the time crews arrived, but smoked filled the hallways of the school.

While firefighters evacuated the building, all students were taken to nearby Gramercy Elementary School. No injuries were reported.

The fire caused damage to a toilet, Bauman said. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
