(KSL News) University of Utah received a multi-million dollar grant to help expand the horizons for art students across the state.
The Sorenson Legacy Foundation pledged $12 million for the school's fine art program.
The university will use the funding to build a new interdisciplinary arts and education complex. The building will house a new program designed to help educators teach art in elementary schools.
University officials say it's the largest gift for art education in the school's history.
