THISTLE, Utah County — Two people were killed in a head-on crash in Spanish Fork Canyon Saturday evening, delaying traffic on U.S. 6 for about two hours, according to public safety and transportation officials.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, one of the vehicles was a truck pulling a horse trailer that rolled into an embankment. Other passengers reportedly were injured but details were not immediately available.
The condition of the horses was not immediately known, although an animal specialist was summoned to assist officers and other first responders.
