FRUIT HEIGHTS, Davis County — Police said Thursday night that a possible human skull was found along a frontage road.
Sgt. DeeAnn Servey of the Davis County Sheriff's Office said police responded to suspicious circumstances call at about 5:50 p.m. On the scene, police found what "appears to be an adult human skull" that had "been there for some time," Servey said.
"The man who initially found it walks long this frontage road every day and noticed something in the bushes, and he finally decided to investigate it further," Servey said.
According to Servey, a crime scene investigation unit, forensic unit and the medical examiner were all called to help investigate the skull and the scene.
As of Thursday night, investigators did not know if there were more bones in the area, saying that an animal may have carried it from another location.
More information will be posted as soon as it's available.
